What is spiritual direction?
Spiritual direction is a safe space to reflect on and nurture your relationship with God. A spiritual director is a companion who listens, ask questions, and helps you process the ways in which God might be leading. During spiritual direction, we devote our time to noticing how God is present and at work in your life. The relationship of spiritual direction is sacred, safe, and confidential.
How does it work?
As your spiritual director, I'll always follow your lead. Some people like to...
- begin with prayer
- meditate on a passage of Scripture
- spend time in silence
- try a spiritual practice
- or bring a question or topic that's been on their mind lately.
Each session I’ll ask how you’d like to begin, and our conversation will go from there.
Direction sessions are an hour long, and typically take place once a month. Currently I can meet with you for spiritual direction sessions on Zoom—but if you’re local to the Seattle area and would prefer to meet in person, get in touch and we can arrange a location.
My fee range for spiritual direction is $50-$80 per session, which goes toward my continued growth as a spiritual director. Simply give what suits your budget best.
Sessions are scheduled month by month—so if at any point you feel that our sessions aren't a right fit for you, there’s no obligation or expectation to continue.

Whether you're a student or scholar, pastor or parishioner, deconstructing your faith or reconstructing it, in spiritual direction you're guaranteed a safe, supportive space to have the conversations you need to with God.

In spiritual direction, we'll consider the ways God might be wanting to spend time with you and explore spiritual practices you can do on your own anytime.

Absolutely. The mission of Fountain & Pen is to make spiritual direction accessible for anyone who wants to explore how God is at work in their day-to-day. Scheduling yourself a session quarterly or just when you really need one can be helpful. And my rate is always flexible: I simply ask that you give what suits your budget best.
